Tips of How to Take Care Your Human Hair Wigs

1.Wash your wig
Use cold water or mild water to clean your hair wig.
Apply a very small drop of high-quality mild shampoo to the wet hair (avoid the scalp area).Place a small amount of shampoo for color-treated hair in your hand, evenly and gently stroke it through the hair in a downwards motion from the roots to the ends. Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze to press out excess water. Do not twist or wring.

 

2.Conditioning
Place a small amount of conditioner for color-treated hair in your hand, evenly and gently work it through the hair in a downwards motion from the mid-shaft down to the ends avoiding the base and root. Applying conditioner to the base may cause shedding. Leave conditioner on for 1-2 minutes or follow the conditioner manufacturer’s instructions. Do not exceed 3-5 minutes. Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear. Gently squeeze or use a clean, dry towel to press out excess water. Do not twist or wring. When you finish washing the hair, towel dry until it’s damp and then air dry the human hair.

 

3.Stay Away from Sticky or Dense Hair Care Products.
As you can probably guess, the more products on your wig the heavier it gets. As time goes on the more product that builds up will make the wig appear very dull and unappealing. When you do this, the hair in the wig is more likely to tangle, or become greasy and unmanageable, especially if you use a lot of different products. Some is alright! Just don’t over do it.

 

4.Combing
Notice that do not comb your hair immediately after washing, comb it after the hair is dry. When combing your human hair wig, Use special wide brush to comb your hair(steel comb and metal comb is ok, do not use plastic comb), start from hair end to top, this will prevent your hair wig from shedding.

 

5.Styling
To restyle your human hair wig, you may use a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron on low heat settings only or use electric rollers on a medium setting. Do not use flat-iron or curler too often, it will cause you hair wig lack of glossy, dry and easy to broken.
